Don’t need to be top of the class to have a good career

You didn’t graduate valedictorian from high school. You may have just barely graduated.  Don’t let the fact that you may not have finished at the top of the class determine your life’s success.  We are told that to be successful you’ve got to go to a top school. Counselors encourage that you study at the big university with the NCAA sports teams and the crazy mascots or even the Ivy League schools. This is the only path to success. This is simply not the case. You can attend any accredited school and get the degree you need to start a successful career. And if you feel you need more, you can move on to that university for more specialized master’s and doctorate degrees if your heart so desires.

If you play it smart you and choose a career path in high demand, you can easily get a job after graduation making over 50k and year. What schools am I talking about? I’m talking about the same schools you see commercials of everyday. The one’s with the cheesy actors telling you to get up and do something with your life.

These school’s catch a bad rap for no reason other than they’re not the traditional university or ivy schools. They’re associates and especially bachelor’s degrees are just as good.  How do I know this?  I know because I have experienced both worlds first hand.
When I left high school I got accepted into one the best state funded technology schools. When I got there I couldn’t stand it. The professors were too concerned about their research and the earlier classes were built to fail students to “weed out” the freshman class. The concept of weeding out students never made since to me. Why accept students and then try to fail them out of the school? To make a quick buck perhaps?
In any case I never liked the school and decided to look else were for an education and I wanted to complete it fast.  I wanted to get hands on experience and develop a relationship with my professors. I eventually chose (any school here).  You may be thinking I couldn’t have possibly been successful with a degree from (school name).  That’s the reaction I got from a lot of my friends.
The better reaction was when I landed a job at Siemens before I graduated starting salary of 60K. Most were getting jobs in the low 50’s if they could even get one.

Your story could be the same if you’re ready to focus.  In this economy the unemployment rate for a job seeker without a degree is much higher. But you have to take the first step, take some time to at least sign up for more information from one of these schools to get the ball rolling. Some action is better than no action. Start by trying the wizard in the admissions.com banner below and choosing a field that interests you. I would not choose a business degree unless I at least had another degree to back it up.

I repeat you best bet is to choose a field that you have some interest in that is in high demand which are the technology, engineering and medical related fields. Give it a shot and in an attempt to sound just as cheesy as those commercials, your future really does start here.  Mine did and I couldn’t be happier.

Earn Distance Learning Graduate Degree While Working

Earning your college degree was tough enough and you went to work right out of college. Your undergraduate degree enabled you to get a good job and make a decent living. Now you’re hoping to further your education, but time constraints make attending traditional classes difficult to do. A viable option may be a distance learning graduate degree.
Class time is not the only consideration for going back to school. There’s the time it takes to drive to and from classes as well as study time. A distance graduate degree can be advantageous to realizing the goal of a master’s degree while you learn at your own pace.
Most distance education programs rely on your personal dedication and commitment to success and set very loose guideline when it comes to deadlines and assignment completion. Earning a distance learning degree can take as little or as much time as you’re willing to put into it.
Accreditation Of Program Needs Verified
When choosing an online study course to earn your distance learning graduate degree it is extremely important to select one that has the accreditation of one of the six regional accrediting services. Without proper accreditation, your distance graduate degree may not be recognized by employers or other educational facilities.
With most online distance learning degree programs, accredited schools may accept classes you have already taken at a traditional school and credit them towards your distance learning degree. Provided the classes were also taken at an accredited school.
There are many companies offering classes towards a distance learning graduate degree that lack the accreditation and when you complete their course, you will find the degree you receive is not worth the paper on which it is printed. Basically, these diploma mills are in it for the money. They may tout accreditation, but many times this comes from their own accreditation and is not connected to any of the six regional agencies.
A distance learning graduate degree should take nearly the same amount of time as it would take attending a traditional school. It may be shortened if you work faster than others or if you can test out of some of the classes, but if an online school claims you can have a distance learning degree in what seems like a very short time, additional scrutiny is warranted. If you think about it, you probably won’t be able to earn a distance learning degree in two or three weeks.

Here my choices for degrees online:

If you are located in Canada, Meritus University offers various degree programs that you can complete on your own time to fit your schedule.  For more information from Meritus fill out the from located here: http://www.meritusinternational.com

Expand your Horizons with a Bachelor Degree Online?

Expand your Horizons with a Bachelor Degree Online?

There are many people that dream of getting a bachelors or masters degree, but the thought of interrupting their career or family life to attend traditional classes seems impossible. The notion of trying to attend numerous classes when you are already busy with your career and family life is just not feasible. On the other hand, you know that a bachelor’s degree would enhance your future job success and earnings. It is in this regard that college and universities are now making it possible to acquire a college degree online.

Once you have made the decision to pursue your degree, take the time to study all the options available. There is a vast amount of information about obtaining your online degree. In addition, numerous colleges and universities now offer degrees and course study online. If you wish to pursue your bachelor degree online, be sure that the school is accredited. An accredited college or university means that the state’s guidelines have been met and the degree is deemed credible. Therefore, learn as much as possible about the school and the perquisites for a bachelor’s degree.

Advantages of pursuing an online degree are endless. There is no commute to school, no need to shuffle classes or reshuffle your life in order to attend a particular class, no requirement to live on campus, etc. However, you will need to stay disciplined at home to get your course work done. In addition to the discipline, you will need a quite place to work at home.

Because of the importance of this matter, I will repeat again that the school and the courses you select to pursue your bachelor’s degree online are accredited. The online degree industry has become a big business over the last 5 years or so and it would be a shame to waste your time and money for a degree that is not accredited. On the other hand, if you wish to expand your education just for the sake of learning, then accreditation will not make a difference.

Now is the time to improve your chances of landing a better job, better earnings or even change your career. Your future and success is in your own hands and there is no excuse for not pursing a college or university degree online. Classes and course material are usually delivered by way of computer, but don’t worry if you are not computer savvy. All you will need is a computer and an internet connection to get you started.

Online University Degrees – Online Education And Long Distance Learning

Online University Degrees – Online Education And Long Distance Learning

Long distance learning has bridged the gap for people with busy schedules and educational goals.

No longer an either/or situation, now working people can keep their full or part time employment and earn their degree from the comfort of home. The standard of academia at an online university meets and exceeds a comparative program at a traditional on-campus facility, with dozens of majors to include business degrees, the liberal arts and sciences. You study when you want to and set your own graduation goals for the timeframe that meets your unique set of circumstances.

Hector Milla Editor of the “Online Degrees In USA” website — http://www.OnlineDegreesUSA.org — pointed out;

“…Although total cost and convenience are the main attractions for earning your degree online, flexibility is a bonus that will enable you to set your own pace for extended studies or you may opt for an accelerated study program. Many online graduates have benefited from picking up the pace and earning their four year bachelor degree in as little as 21 months, providing a rapid launch pad for graduate coursework or entry into the workforce for a higher paying career. Earn while you learn with a tailor-made program to reach your professional goals and obtain a fully accredited Associates, Bachelors or Masters in your spare time…”

Online degrees and distance learning modules are structured for the student to learn on their own terms, with plenty of support services to motivate and check your progress as you go. Students are given enough freedom to assert their independence, yet never alone to conquer the coursework. Student forums, message boards, career counseling and tutorials are just a few of the resources available from a distance learning program to assist the student at every level of progress. From the initial registration, your guidance counselor is there to help you set a time frame for your studies, ensuring that you meet your academic goals on a schedule that works best for you.

“…The online degree system carries instant rewards such as doing away with commuting to school and unproductive time spent with lengthy classroom hours. The virtual learning experience takes you where you want to go and gets you there in less than half the time spent attending an on-campus facility. No more costly dormitories, filling up the gas tank, or budgeting your money for the campus cafeteria. The study at home university system has filled the niche to reach your educational goals with minimal time and financial investment, making the distance learning experience a favorite choice for college bound adults…” added H. Milla.
